City Hall, 215 Church Avenue P.O. Box 1130 Oshkosh, WI 54903-1130 http://www.ci.oshkosh.wi.us TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Common Council FROM: Jim Collins, Transportation Director DATE: November 18, 2022 RE: Extend no parking on the south side of Ceape Avenue from Court Street to 120 feet west BACKGROUND The Oshkosh Fire Department now has a large ladder truck based at station 15. There are 2 on street parking stalls directly across from the station garage doors. When cars are parked across from their garage entrances, it is very difficult to maneuver the truck into the garage. ANALYSIS The only potential affected party is the office/law building in this area. The owners/tenants of this building have no objection. There is plenty of off and on street parking available in the area. The traffic and parking advisory board recommends approval (5-0). FISCAL IMPACT The cost of these changes is updated signage which will be covered by the sign department operations budget. RECOMMENDATION I recommend approval. Respectfully Submitted, Approved: Jim Collins, Transportation Director Mark A. Rohloff, City Manager
