HomeMy WebLinkAbout8-18-22 MINUTESBICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES – August 18, 2022 1. Call to Order Mr. BellCorelli called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m. 2. Approval of July 21, 2022, Meeting Minutes Ms. Stam moved to approve July 21, 2022 meeting minutes and Mr. Lynch seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 3. South Main Street Road Diet Recommendation The board talked about the presentation that was given at the July 21 meeting. The project area includes the roadway between Waukau and South Park. 1.85 miles in length over 90 access points including driveways to business, homes and streets. Roadway construction would start in 2023. Ms. Stam made a motion to recommend implementation of proposed South Main Street Road Diet plan. Mr. Lynch seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 4. E-Scooter Discussion Mr. Lyons said there are no new updates. The group discussed the pros and cons of dock and dock-less e-scooters. Mr. Lyons said that there is a city ordinance that doesn’t allow dock-less e- scooters. 5. Agenda Items for Future Meeting(s) Safety events/procedures for education, B&P budget, Police/bike registration, bike collection/bike racks, Rainbow Park building, Riverview Gardens Bike program 6. Adjournment Ms. McPhee moved to adjourn the meeting and Ms. Stam seconded the motion.
