HomeMy WebLinkAbout10. 22-357AUGUST 23, 2022 22-357 RESOLUTION (CARRIED___7-0____LOST________LAID OVER________WITHDRAWN________) PURPOSE: APPROVE SPECIAL EVENT / RUN AWAY EVENTS / UTILIZE THE RIVERWALK & CITY STREETS FOR THE LUMBERJACK & JILL RUN-WALK EVENT HOSTED AT DOCKSIDE TAVERN / OCTOBER 8, 2022 INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that approval is granted to Run Away Events (Ross McDowell) to utilize the Riverwalk and city streets for the Lumberjack & Jill Run/Walk event hosted at Dockside Tavern Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in accordance with the municipal code and the attached application, with the following exceptions/conditions: A. B. C. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer shall pay the City’s actual costs for extraordinary services. Approval of this request shall not be interpreted as approval to conduct the event during any period of emergency order or declaration prohibiting such event. Approval of this event shall not be interpreted to supersede any emergency order or declaration applicable to such event and all events shall remain subject to all applicable ordinances, orders, declarations and requirements for public gatherings. Cost Estimates for Extraordinary Services Police Department Staffing $1,118.66 (preliminary estimate includes dedicated staffing of 3 Supervisor hrs., 10 officer hrs., 3 CSO hrs.) Equipment / Vehicle $32.10 (preliminary estimate includes 2 hrs. of dedicated use of police vehicles) Supplies / Materials $27.50 (preliminary estimate includes use of no parking signs) AUGUST 23, 2022 22-357 RESOLUTION CONT’D Street Department Staffing $446.88 (preliminary estimate includes dedicated staffing of 14 hrs. for the delivery & pick up of barricades and signs) Equipment / Vehicle $160.93 (preliminary estimate includes 7 hrs. of dedicated use of a truck and trailer for the delivery & pick up of barricades and signs) Supplies / Materials $110 (preliminary estimate includes use of barricades and signs)
