PURPOSE: APPROVE SPECIAL EVENT / OSHKOSH CORPORATIO / UTILIZE
THE RIVERWALK & CITY STREETS FOR THE OSHKOSH
CORPORATION-AMCOR UNITED WAY 5k WALK RUN /
SEPTEMBER 27, 2022
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that approval is granted to Oshkosh Corporation (Rachel Hansen) to utilize the
Riverwalk and city streets for the Oshkosh Corporation / Amcor United Way 5K Walk Run
on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in accordance with the
municipal code and the attached application, with the following exceptions/conditions:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer
shall pay the City’s actual costs for extraordinary services. Approval of this request shall
not be interpreted as approval to conduct the event during any period of emergency order
or declaration prohibiting such event. Approval of this event shall not be interpreted to
supersede any emergency order or declaration applicable to such event and all events shall
remain subject to all applicable ordinances, orders, declarations and requirements for
public gatherings.
Cost Estimates for Extraordinary Services
Police Department
Staffing $304.40 (preliminary estimate includes dedicated staffing of 2 Supervisor hrs., 8
CSO hrs.)
Equipment / Vehicle $32.10 (preliminary estimate includes 2 hrs. of dedicated use of
police vehicles)
Supplies / Materials $33.00 (preliminary estimate includes no parking signs & cones)

delivery & pick up of barricades and signs)
