F STOP - YOU CHOOSE: Oshkosh Public Library (OPL) is asking the community to help select the theme for our 2022 F Stop Photo Contest. Oshkosh has brought tremendous creativity to this photography exhibit over the last two years and now we want your help to select the focus for our next contest. Go to the OPL’s Facebook page to see the choices and add your preference to the comments section. To see entries from past contests see F Stop: Shelter at https://bit.ly/3jtjeL8 and F Stop Resilience at https://bit.ly/3B2a2K4 3. ONE MILLION MINUTES READ: Oshkosh readers have reached the community reading goal of one million minutes for the 2022 Summer Reading Challenge! Besides a well-earned feeling of accomplishment, what did they achieve? More than 1,000 kids and teens laid the groundwork for a successful school year by maintaining or building on their reading skills. Children, teens and adults explored different genres, learned new things and just basked in the joy that a good book brings! Readers of all ages experienced a sense of community in joining together to achieve a common goal. Watch the OPL’s Facebook page for information about celebrating this accomplishment in August. 4. MEMORY PROGRAMS: The library is the site for two programs that offer activities and support for people experiencing memory loss:  Memory Café meets at the library on the second Wednesday of each month. Participants and their caregivers relax and socialize in a comfortable setting, with activities based on a familiar theme. Details at https://bit.ly/3P3U2f3.  Mindworks is held every Thursday at the library. It is a facilitated program for people with early symptoms of memory loss. The curriculum promotes overall health and wellness, brain health and social connections. Details and registration information is at https://bit.ly/3aiPx0N. 5.
