RE: Weekly Newsletter
1. AQUAHAWK A GREAT TOOL TO KEEP AN EYE ON THINGS: The Aquahawk
water monitoring software is a free service that has been available to City of Oshkosh
utility customers for over a year. This service allows registered customers to monitor their
water consumption and receive alerts when their usage meets certain user-defined
thresholds. Aquahawk information inserts have been included with utility bills multiple
times in the last year and will continue to be sent out occasionally in the future. Since
inception, over 1,400 customers have signed up for Aquahawk, which is about 5.5% of
our customers. To register for Aquahawk, go to https://oshkwi.aquahawk.us
2. FINAL REAL ESTATE COLLECTION NOTICE: The fourth and final 2021 City of
Oshkosh real estate tax installment payment is due by July 31, 2022. Per the City of
Oshkosh municipal code, there is a five business day grace period allotted for real estate
tax payments. Payments will be accepted on bills in good standing without penalty until
the closing of the business day on August 5, 2022. All delinquent 2021 real estate tax bills
will be transferred to the Winnebago County Treasurer’s office on August 15, 2022.
Unpaid taxes transferred to Winnebago County are payable to Winnebago County. The
Winnebago County Treasurer’s office is located at 112 Otter Ave, Room 116. Payments to
the City can be made online, by mail, in person or dropped off in the 24-hour drop box
located outside City Hall at 215 Church Ave.
3. CDBG PROGRAM INPUT: On Tuesday, July 12 at 6:00 PM, the City of Oshkosh is
holding its final public hearing to obtain public comments pertaining to the City’s 2022
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Annual Action Plan. Citizens wishing to
provide comments may come to the Common Council meeting (Room 406), on July 12.
Upon City Council approval, the Action Plan will be submitted to the Department of
Housing and Urban Development for review.
The proposed 2022 CDBG program allocations will support low income housing
initiatives, neighborhood initiatives in low income areas, public service organizations
and fair housing activities. These activities will take place throughout the 2022 CDBG
Program Year, which runs from May 1, 2022 - April 30, 2023. A draft plan is available by
following this link: https://www.ci.oshkosh.wi.us/EconomicDevelopment/. If you have

thank him for his many years of service to the Oshkosh Fire Department and the
community.
