TO: Public Arts and Beautification Committee FROM: Alexa Naudziunas, Associate Planner DATE: April 21, 2022 SUBJECT: Meeting Notice and Agenda for April 28, 2022 A meeting of the Public Arts and Beautification Committee will be held on April 28, 2022 at 4 p.m., City Hall, 215 Church Avenue, Oshkosh, WI 54901. The following items will be considered: 1. Call to Order The committee provided introductions and background information for the new member, Nicolas Matysik. 2. Approval of October 28, 2021 Meeting Minutes Mr. Ponzer made a motion to approve the October 28, 2021 meeting minutes and Mrs. Hanson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Project Discussion The committee would like to interact with the south side of Oshkosh, specifically the Oregon Street corridor. The committee agreed to send a mailing to the Oregon Street corridor businesses and property owners. The plan is to send the Mini Mural Project brochure information out and Mr. Ponzer volunteered to walk door to door and spread the information. Ms. Hanson would like to work on a yarn art project that will be placed street poles and trees in various locations. She suggested that a good pilot location would be inside of the Menominee Park Zoo, because it’s an internal and secure area. Ms. Hanson agreed to reach out to some contacts that might have people who knit or work with yarn. 4. Future Agenda Items Mini Mural Project – Oregon Street (6th Avenue– 16th Avenue) Yarn Exhibit T. Adjournment Mr. Ponzer made a motion to adjourn and Ms. Hanson seconded the motion, motion carried unanimously at 5: 03pm.
