NOTICE OF
BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING
JUNE 8TH, 2022
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
The property owner(s) listed below has requested an appeal to the City’s permit denial determination. The Board
of Appeals will determine whether the appeal will be granted. You are being notified of this meeting because you
own property abutting the property involved.
The meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8TH, 2022 at 3:30 P.M., in Room 404 (Fourth Floor) at the
Oshkosh City Hall, 215 Church Avenue. Please note there will not be a public comment portion to this meeting
as it is an appeal to a determination but the public is invited to attend and observe the discussion if desired.
The City Planning Services Division is preparing a report that provides a recommendation on the request. This
report will be available on or shortly after June 1st and is provided to the applicant(s), owner(s), and members of
the Board of Appeals.

Division at (920) 236-5059 between 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday thru Friday or the reports are available online at our

Property Owners Receiving This Notice – Attached you will find the submitted plan(s) along with a list of
property owners who were mailed this notice. As it is the City’s policy to notify only property owners that are
located in the city within 100 feet of the proposed development, please share this information with a neighbor
who may not have received this information. For developments within 1000 feet of any municipal boundary a
notice will only be sent to the town clerk for that municipality.

EXPLANATION OF APPEAL BEING REQUESTED:
Lamar Central Outdoor, LLC-applicant/Mustain Investments II LLC-owner, request an appeal to the City of
Oshkosh Community Development Department’s determination of Zoning Ordinance Section 30-271(F)(7) which
prohibits Off-Premise Advertising Signs. The Community Development Department has determined the
proposed sign alterations at the site do not meet several ordinance requirements and the application has been
denied. The petitioner contends in their submitted application materials the department’s decision is erroneous
and the alterations as proposed should be permitted.
