RE: Award Bid to Viking Electric for Lighting Fixtures for Public Museum
($30,913.67)
BACKGROUND
The Oshkosh Public Museum is in the process of installing and fabricating of Sports and
Recreation, the newest permanent exhibition in the museum. Gallery redesign required
updated lighting fixtures. Museum-grade lighting provides appropriate levels of illumination
for the gallery while conforming to conservation standards for historic collections. Funds for
this project were allocated in the 2020 CIP.
ANALYSIS
Working in conjunction with the Museum staff, Purchasing reviewed and prepared proposals
seeking vendors for this lighting fixtures bid. The bid was sent to known lighting vendors and
posted on DemandStar. Bids were due on May 12, 2022. The bid tab is attached. It was the
consensus of staff that the low bid met all minimum bid specifications.
FISCAL IMPACT

impact for this bid is $30,913.67. This bid will be charged to A/N# 03231070-7222-63011
(Museum CIP). The remaining funds will be used for the fabrication and production of
remaining exhibition components.
