Oshkosh Board of Police and Fire Commission
January 4, 2022
A meeting of the Police and Fire Commission was held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Room 406 of City Hall.
The meeting was called to order at 3:01 P.M.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Vajgrt, Jones, and Seibold. Commissioner Montgomery was present as of 3:03 P.M.
Excused/Absent: Commissioner Schorse
Chairperson Vajgrt asked if there were any additions or corrections to the December 7, 2021 Meeting Minutes of the Police and Fire Commission. There being none, Commissioner Seibold
made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to approve the minutes as presented. Motion Carried 3-0.
New Business:
Commissioner Seibold made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to retire the current Police Officer Employment Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold, to approve the new Police Officer Employment Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold, to appoint Damita Buss to the position of Police Officer effective January 10, 2022. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Montgomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to appoint Fire Lieutenant Michael Bryan to the position of Fire Captain effective January 16, 2022. Motion
Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to retire the current Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold, to approve the new Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to appoint Fire Equipment Operator CJ Wedell to the position of Fire Lieutenant effective January 16, 2022.
Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold, to appoint Fire Equipment Operator Tony Montag to the position of Fire Lieutenant effective January 16, 2022. Motion
Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to appoint Fire Equipment Operator Michael Stephens to the position of Fire Lieutenant effective January 16,
2022. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold, to appoint Fire Equipment Operator Ryan Koplin to the position of Fire Lieutenant effective January 16, 2022. Motion
Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to appoint Firefighter Christopher Clark to the position of Fire Equipment Operator effective January 16, 2022.
Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Montogomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to appoint Firefighter Michael Wos to the position of Fire Equipment Operator effective January 16, 2022. Motion
Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Seibold made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to appoint Firefighter Ben Schoenborn to the position of Fire Equipment Operator effective January 16, 2022. Motion
Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to appoint Firefighter Joe Dutscheck to the position of Fire Equipment Operator effective January 16, 2022.
Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Montgomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold, to retire the current Firefighter Employment Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Jones made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery, to approve the new Firefighter Employment Eligibility List. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Montgomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Seibold, to appoint Dennis Kilgore to the position of Firefighter effective March 14, 2022. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Montgomery made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to appoint David Borroughs to the position of Firefighter effective March 14, 2022. Motion Carried 4-0.
Commissioner Seibold made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to appoint Alex Johll to the position of Firefighter effective March 14, 2022. Motion Carried 4-0.
There being no further business, Commissioner Jones made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Montgomery. Motion carried 4-0.
Meeting adjourned at 3:38 P.M.
