I have an art background and am a tattoo artist by trade, which provides me with a unique perspective on all artforms. I also currently serve on the BID Beatification committee, which has been a fantastic learning experience. It's not only given me an insight into how city organizations work, but also what goes into making public art a reality. I'm proud to already be a member of an effective city committee, and am excited about the work we've done over the past few years. Previously, I served as the President and Vice President of the Downtown Oshkosh member consortium (2016-2019), and have worked closely with many of our downtown business owners to coordinate events and other member-co initiatives. I am very invested in seeing our city become more beautiful and colorful, and would love to continue to contribute however I can. Anyone who has worked with me knows I'm a "go-getter," and I can be counted on to complete whatever tasks are handed to me in a timely and conscientious fashion. I'm proud to have made Oshkosh my home, and look forward to adding even more beauty to our public spaces. Please write a concise statement which describes why you wish to serve on the above Board/Commission. If selected I believe I could bring a unique perspective to the board as someone who makes a living in the art world. I am also passionate about adding beauty in the form of green spaces, flowers, and any other natural elements, being an avid gardener, and would love to help bring more of that to our city. I believe art and beautification are key to making Oshkosh a vibrant, more desirable place to call home, and would love to be a part of continuing to make that happen. I would be focused on murals, art installations, as well as green spaces primarily located within our entrance corridors to the city, as well as downtown. I would be glad to assist with any ongoing or new initiatives the current committee is working on, and I've been told that I play well with others. In the past I've been involved with fundraising and community outreach for the BID, and would gladly do the same for the city arts and beautification committee. 1 Moran, Diane From:City of Oshkosh Board/Commission Background Questionnaire <DoNotReply@ci.oshkosh.wi.us> Sent:Tuesday, April 12, 2022 7:43 PM To:Moran, Diane Subject:City of Oshkosh Board/Commission Background Questionnaire EXTERNAL SENDER.
