RE: Prohibit parking on W. 6th Avenue, south side, from 170 feet west of Michigan
Street to 231 feet.
BACKGROUND
A local business, Pingry Caswell is located on W. 6th Avenue on the north side of the street.
Their loading docks are only accessible off of W. 6th Avenue. When vehicles park across from
their driveway, trucks are unable to make deliveries to their business.
ANALYSIS
There is still ample on-street parking on W. 6th Avenue even with this change.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost would be additional signage which would come out of the city’s sign department
operating budget.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend approval.
Respectfully Submitted, Approved:
