PURPOSE: APPROVE SPECIAL EVENT / PAINE ART CENTER & GARDENS
/ UTILIZE CONGRESS AVENUE FOR THE FAIRE ON THE
GREEN / JULY 10, 2022
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that approval is granted to Paine Art Center and Gardens (Doris Peitz) to utilize
Congress Avenue between Algoma Boulevard and Elmwood Avenue on Friday, July 9,
2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for set-up and Saturday, July 10, 2022, from 5:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m. (actual event time 9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.) for the Faire on the Green event in
accordance with the municipal code and the attached application, with the following
exceptions/conditions:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer
shall pay the City’s actual costs for extraordinary services. Approval of this request
shall not be interpreted as approval to conduct the event during any period of
emergency order or declaration prohibiting such event. Approval of this event shall not
be interpreted to supersede any emergency order or declaration applicable to such
event and all events shall remain subject to all applicable ordinances, orders,
declarations and requirements for public gatherings.

Police
Staffing $98.82 (preliminary estimate includes dedicated staffing of 6 CSO hrs. for
traffic management; setup/tear down of barricades, no parking sign and cones)

police vehicle for set up/tear down of barricades, no parking signs and cones)

delivery / pick up of barricades and signs)

truck and trailer for delivery / pick up of barricades and signs)
