Staff continues to work with Day By Day Warming Shelter and OACF on year round permanent facility location option. Staff is working with the Oshkosh Kid's Foundation on their Tiny Home project. Staff continues to review grant opportunities as they become available that would support solutions to reduce homelessness. 4/12/2022 1/1/2021 City Manager Continue incorporating equity and inclusion into the day-to-day operations and structures of the Oshkosh city government by doing the following: (a) Create employee DEI committee and begin reporting on approved DEI measures; and (b) Support DEI Committee and its consultant to create the DEI Committee Strategic Plan. Consultant is currently conducting DEI training with staff. DEI Committee provided suggestions to staff on possible DEI measures.4/12/2022 1/1/2021 City Manager Present funding options to begin implementation of ADA improvements as recommended by SRF / Accessibility Audit of Oshkosh Public Buildings and Facilities Report. Next steps with facility study TBD.4/12/2022 1/1/2021 City Manager Continue participating in State multi-organizational committee on Local Government Funding (LGFC) to address Oshkosh’s shortfall in state-local funding, with particular attention to Municipal Services Payment (MSP) program, Shared Revenue, and Transportation Aids. Staff continues to collaborate with other cities on legislative options outside of budget process. City Manager is a member of statewide committee to investigate local sources of revenue. 4/12/2022 8/24/2021 Community Development Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) Tourism Assessment City staff will continue to work with the CVB on moving forward with recommendations. CVB staff and city staff are working with a consultant to start the rebranding process and are discussing the feasibility of a downtown plaza.
