HomeMy WebLinkAbout03.08.2022 Staff Report TRAFFIC & PARKING ADVISORY BOARD STAFF REPORT March 8th, 2022 PUBLIC COMMENT APPROVAL OF MINUTES OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS 1. A request for NO PARKING on W. 6th Avenue south side from 190 feet west of Michigan Street to 231 feet west of Michigan Street (current condition: NO restrictions) This is a request from Pingry Caswell. They are requesting a no parking zone across the street from their parking lot located at 522 W. 6th Avenue. This will help ensure semi-trucks are able to access their loading dock. There was a driveway in that location at one time that is no longer used so vehicles are now parking there which limits access to Pingry’s parking lot/loading dock. They reported several occasions where trucks have had a difficult time maneuvering around parked vehicles or are completely unable to back into the dock. The lot across the street is owned by the 6th Avenue Body Shop. Pingry said that they did talk to the neighbors when they moved to this location who were and continue to be accommodating. Most of the issues they are having is when people are visiting and/or doing work around the area. I RECOMMEND APPROVAL. 2. Board and Commission Roles, Process and Procedures Training The City’s legal department has recently updated and Council approved revised Board and Commission rules and procedures. The legal department will present this information and answer any questions. TPAB AGENDA ITEMS 2 March 8th, 2022 STAFF STATEMENTS FUTURE AGENDA REQUESTS ADJOURNMENT
