With my background in education, customer service, and my own experiences, I can bring forth another perspective and from others. Through my position at the Day by Day Warming Shelter I have received various forms of diversity training as well as how to work with populations differing than my own. I have taken many classes in environmentalism, art, social work and politics in addition to my degree. I am also minoring in bilingual education and am learning how to work with the growing population of people who's first language in not English. While I did not always live in Oshkosh, I spent much of my time here growing up and knew that I wanted to call the city my home. My family has owned a local business since 2012 and I have been able to grow with the city. I am passionate about bettering our community for all those who call it home. I have a passion for the youth and protecting Oshkosh's natural areas so that future generations can enjoy the same natural areas that I did growing up. I would use my voice to speak for those that cannot speak for themselves. I would speak for future generations and with the future of our city in mind.
