PURPOSE: ADOPT PARKING LOT MAPS & ASSOCIATED REGULATIONS IN
THE RECENTLY RECONSTRUCTED 8TH, 9TH & 10TH AVENUE
PARKING LOTS
INITIATED BY: TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT
A GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH AMENDING APPENDIX 27B
OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO PARKING REGULATIONS
WITHIN CITY OWNED PARKING LOTS IN RELATION TO THE RECENTLY
RECONSTRUCTED 8TH, 9TH & 10TH AVENUE PARKING LOTS
WHEREAS, the City has completed projects within certain parking lots that have
caused changes to parking stalls within those lots making it necessary to adopt updated
parking maps in Chapter 27 Appendix B to establish parking regulations and designate
parking stalls.
The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The maps for the 8th, 9th and 10th Avenue Parking Lots within Appendix
27B of the City of Oshkosh Municipal Code are hereby repealed and recreated as attached.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, publication and placement of the appropriate signage.

Please take notice that the City of Oshkosh enacted ordinance #21-609 ADOPT PARKING
LOT MAPS & ASSOCIATED REGULATIONS IN THE RECENTLY RECONSTRUCTED

PARKING LOTS) on December 14, 2021. The ordinance amends parking regulations
within the 8th, 9th and 10th Avenue Parking Lots.

RE: Adopt updated parking lot maps and associated regulations in the recently
reconstructed 8th, 9th, and 10th Avenue parking lots.
BACKGROUND
The 8th and 9th Avenue parking lots were reconstructed this year as part of the 2021 parking
lot CIP. The 10th Avenue parking lot was reconstructed in 2020.
ANALYSIS
In general, the parking regulations in the reconstructed lots did not change however; the
numbering and layout of the stalls changed slightly with the reconstructions. Therefore; it is
prudent to ask council to officially adopt the new maps into the municipal code.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost of striping and signage was included in the CIP for each respective reconstruction.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend approval.
