Rohloff, City Manager DATE: November 16, 2021 RE: State of Wisconsin Cooperative Purchase of 2022 Computers ($74,494.28) BACKGROUND This memo summarizes the 2022 computer order of our IT Division’s annual lifecycle rotation program. The various divisions’ 2022 operating budgets have funds allocated for this program. ANALYSIS The IT and Purchasing Division concluded the State of Wisconsin Contract with Vanguard Computers Inc. (State of WI contract #505ENT-M17-WICOMPUTER-05) offered the lowest price for our 2022 computer order of 44 HP 600 G6 ProDesk desktops, 25 HP EliteBook 850 G8, 27 HP USB-C docking stations, 4 HP Z2 CAD stations, 1 HP Z4 editor station, 30 HP 22" LCDs and 2 HP 27" LCDs FISCAL IMPACT This 2022 computer order will have a total fiscal impact of $74,494.28. Funding for these computers would be charged to various division operating budgets under expense object 6550. Fund A/N# Seniors Center 02310760 Fire (HazMat) 02350230 Museum 02411070 Pollock Pool 02550610 Transit 05111728 Water Filtration 05411864 Water Distribution 05411866 Waste Water 05511940 Utilities 05411892-08921/05511950/05612030 Utility Accounting 05411892-08921/05511950/05612050 General Fund 01000110 RECOMMENDATION Section 12-15 of the Municipal Code provides that subject to approval of the City Manager, cooperative purchases pursuant to a contract with any other local, state or federal governmental unit or agency may be made without following a competitive bidding or quotation process. In accordance with Section 12-15 of the Municipal Code and because this cooperative purchase is in excess of $25,000, I am hereby submitting a report of this purchase to the Common Council.
