HomeMy WebLinkAbout8-19-21 MINUTESBICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES – August 19, 2021 1. Call to Order Mr. BellCorelli called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m. 2. Approval of July 15, 2021 Meeting Minutes Mr. Buelow moved to approve July 15, 2021 meeting minutes and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Polco Survey Results – Bikes on Sidewalks City staff published a survey via Polco to ask the public about bicycle usage on the sidewalk. The committee reviewed the results of the survey and Mr. Collins was available to answer questions. 4. Creative Crosswalks – Discussion Ms. Naudziunas explained that this topic was requested to appear on the August agenda. She explained that staff met to figure how to move forward with the various requests to implement a creative crosswalk program. 5. 5 Bridges Trail Ms. Naudziunas explained that she presented this item to the Advisory Parks Board during their June meeting. The Advisory Parks Board recommended adopting the proposed name, 5 Bridges Trail. This item will not need any further approval and the committee can begin planning for implementation. The committee decided to begin working on a way to fund signage. The group suggested discussing this with CVB and downtown groups. This item will be on-going. 6. Agenda Items for the Future Meeting(s) The committee requests to keep an on-going list of potential agenda items to help keep track of ideas, this list will be found on each agenda. Bike with the Blue, Vicky a caramel crisp collab. 7. Adjournment Ms. Redlin moved to adjourn the meeting and seconded the motion.
