HomeMy WebLinkAbout15. 21-481SEPTEBMER 28, 2021 21-481 RESOLUTION (CARRIED___5-0____LOST________LAID OVER________WITHDRAWN________) PURPOSE: APPROVE AMENDED SPECIAL EVENT / OSHKOSH COMMUNITY YMCA / UTILIZE CITY STREETS FOR THE RUN FOR A REASON EVENT / APRIL 2, 2022 (RAIN DATE APRIL 9, 2022) INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the Oshkosh Community YMCA has amended the Special Event Permit application for the Run for a Reason event previously scheduled on March 26, 2022 to be held on April 2, 2022 (rain date April 9, 2022); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that approval is granted to (Lindsey McMullin) to utilize city streets (W 20th Ave., W. South Park Ave., S. Main Street, N. Main St., Ceape Ave., Bowen St., and Washington Ave.) on Saturday, April 2, 2022 (rain date April 9, 2022) from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the Run for a Reason event in accordance with the municipal code and the attached application, with the following exceptions/conditions: A. B. C. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer shall pay the City’s actual costs for extraordinary services. Approval of this request shall not be interpreted as approval to conduct the event during any period of emergency order or declaration prohibiting such event. Approval of this event shall not be interpreted to supersede any emergency order or declaration applicable to such event and all events shall remain subject to all applicable ordinances, orders, declarations and requirements for public gatherings. Equipment / Vehicle Use $770.40 (preliminary estimate included dedicated use of vehicles for 48 hrs.) Supplies / Materials $16.50 (preliminary estimate includes dedicated use of cones and no parking signs) Street Department Staffing $62.68 (preliminary estimate includes 2 dedicated staff hrs. for the delivery and pick up of barricades and signs) Equipment / Vehicle Use $45.98 (preliminary estimate includes dedicated use of truck and trailer for the delivery and pick up of barricades and signs.) Supplies / Materials $27.50 (preliminary estimate includes dedicated use of barricades & signs)
