RE: Designate Bike Lanes on West 9th Avenue
BACKGROUND
Per council direction, bike lanes were incorporated as part of the W. 9th Avenue layout. As the
construction is being completed, we need to update the ordinance and signage.
ANALYSIS
This ordinance needs to be updated to match the new road layout.
FISCAL IMPACT
The fiscal impact of these ordinances is the cost of striping and signage. These costs are part of the road
reconstruction project budget.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that the Common Council approve these modifications to Section 27A-110.1 of the
Municipal Code pertaining to bike lanes designated.
Respectfully Submitted, Approved:
Jim Collins, Transportation Director Mark A. Rohloff, City Manager
