(+$24,635.76) BACKGROUND Change Order No. 1 for Contract 21-06 is scheduled for consideration by the Common Council at the September 14, 2021 meeting. The Contract was originally awarded to Al Dix Concrete, Inc. in January of 2021. In August, the Council awarded the bid for Contract 21-09 to Vinton Constriction Company for the 2021 Parking Lots Construction and Re-Striping Project to perform the re-striping of the Jackson Street Road Diet. In preparation for the Jackson Street Road Diet work, the City requested, under Contract 21-06, that Al Dix Concrete do the concrete sidewalk ramps at the corner of Congress Avenue and Jackson Street, as well as remove the crosswalk at Hobbs Avenue and Jackson Street. This work was completed in conjunction with the initial phase of the restriping. This cost was included in the Estimated Total Construction Cost presented to Council with the Contract 21-09 bid award. ANALYSIS Following is a summary of the significant changes to each section of the CIP:  Property Improvements – Jackson Street Road Diet – This change order is for additional concrete work on Jackson Street to implement the Jackson Street Multimodal Traffic Safety and Quality of Life Study.
