RE: Amend the City of Oshkosh Fee Schedule Pertaining to Chicken, Bee and Duck
Keeping within the City
BACKGROUND
The proposed amendment is related to the prior agenda item amending ordinances pertaining
to definitions within the Animal Ordinance, Chicken Keeping & Bee Keeping & Create
Ordinance Pertaining to Duck Keeping. Adoption of the Duck Keeping ordinance has
necessitated an update to the fee schedule.
ANALYSIS
Staff if proposing to mirror the existing Chicken Keeping and Bee Keeping fee of $15 for
licenses/renewal. The fee is meant to recover administrative costs related to various actions
required for administration of the ordinances.
FISCAL IMPACT
Revenue from the new fees will help offset administration of the ordinances and should add
another $75-150 in annual revenue depending on activity.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approving the fees as proposed.
