Project City Contract Demolition of Various Structures at Sawdust District 43 E 7th Avenue Project Number 60614182 Owner City of Oshkosh Engineer AECOM The following modification(s)to the Contract are hereby ordered (use additional pages if required) Fuel Oil Subsurface Impacted Soil Emergency Clean up at 43 E. 7th Avenue Potential Fuel Oil Subsurface Clean up at 706 S. Main Street Reason for Modification(s) An underground fuel oil tank assumed to have been used for suppling a heating system was discovered during demolition of the office building at 43 E. 7th Avenue. The steel tank had several holes in it, and fuel oil apparently leaked into the subsurface. The tank was properly decommissioned but the soil surrounding the tank appeared to be severely impacted with fuel oil. AECOM recommended removal of the impacted material to limit future liability. LinnCo provided an estimate to load and transport 200 tons of impacted material to Waste Management's Valley Trail Landfill, Berlin Wisconsin. In addition, there is a potential for a fuel oil tank associated subsurface clean up with the Luecks Facility. This budget includes and estimated 200 tons for this potential cleanup also. AECOM recommends approval as the quote is acceptable based on a comparison of similar project costs. Time and Materials Not-to-Exceed $8,100.00.
