Sincerely, Kevin Mraz Utility Director TOWN OF ALGOMA SANITARY DISTRICT#1 RESOLUTION 2020-12-2 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A 1-YEAR EXTENSION OF THE 1977 SEWAGE TREATMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF OSHKOSH FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT SERVICES WHEREAS, the Agreement with the City of Oshkosh for wastewater treatment services is set to expire in December of 2020, WHEREAS, the Agreement was previously extended in 2019 for a 1-year term, per the renewal procedure outlined in the Agreement in Item #24 on Page 8, WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has expressed its intent to extend the agreement for another 1-year term while continuing to work on a long-term master agreement for wastewater treatment services, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Commission of the Town of Algoma Sanitary District#1 approves extending the Sewage Treatment Agreement with the City of Oshkosh for another 1-year term per the renewal procedure outlined in the Agreement in Item #24 on Page 8, with a copy of the agreement prepared by the City of Oshkosh to approve this 1-year extension attached to this resolution. WHEREAS the parties entered into an agreement for the treatment of sanitary sewer discharges from the District in 1977(Agreement),and WHEREAS the Agreement has been previously extended,and WHEREAS the parties desire to continue to operate under the terms of the current Agreement while continuing to develop a new long-term agreement, NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree to extend the terms of the current Agreement through December 31,2021 to allow for the development of a new long-term agreement.
