Offered the Good Neighbor Grant program for 2020, in partnership with the City of Oshkosh and the Community Foundation over three years. We approved 20 applications ($15,000) from homeowners for work being done to enhance the front facing side of their properties; the total estimated value of the work done is $102,988.
Completed the Rock the Block Oshkosh Neighborhood Revitalization in the Congress Field Neighborhood; worked on 30 properties with over 400 volunteer hours. Announced the third Rock The Block Oshkosh will be held in June 2021 in River East Neighborhood.
The Hey, Neighbor! Newsletter is distributed monthly via emails and social media.
Our social media presence has continued to grow, highlighted by our Instagram and LinkedIn engagement.
Transitioned to virtual Zoom meetings for the Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods Alliance meetings and have averaged 13 neighborhoods represented (higher than in-person).
Sold 83 & 87 Frankfort St at full asking price of $134,900; the assessed property value prior to rehab was $74,000.
Built and locally sourced a Block Party Trailer for Neighborhood Associations; due to COVID-19 restrictions reservations will be differed until 2021.
Successful Live Stream events for National Good Neighbor Day on September 28th. With support from State Farm Insurance we recognized examples of good neighbors in Oshkosh and announced the Rock the Block Oshkosh neighborhood for 2021.
Continued to build relationships and coordinate neighborhood development, supported 23 neighborhood events and recorded 2,491 volunteer hours. Midtown Neighborhood Association voted to extend its northern boundary and several Neighborhood Associations met virtually to discuss Great Neighborhood Grant applications.
Tracking the total volunteer hours, attendance at events, community building & engagement reimbursements, neighborhood revitalization (RTB & Bader) investments, dollars invested by GO-HNI and homeowners with Good Neighbor Grants, and real estate development improvements, we had $296,681 total value of Community Investment in 2020.
