NO PARKING REQUEST – A request for no parking on Grand Street - east side from Merritt Avenue 60 feet to 156 feet north. (Current condition: No parking, east side, from Merritt Avenue to 20 feet north) This is a request from the owners of 410 Pleasant Street who have a driveway on Grand Street. (Jim Griesen 5070 County Road A Oshkosh, WI 54904 jamesraelin@aol.com) The landlord and tenants of 410 Pleasant Street are having a very difficult time accessing their driveway when cars are parked across from their driveway apron. Their house is on Pleasant with a driveway behind the house on Grand. Grand Street is 18 feet wide. I have evaluated this area and determined it is very tight. The landlord has attempted to talk to the residents to request they not park across from the curb cut with no success as there are many renters. I RECOMMEND APPROVAL. 2. REMOVAL OF PARKING RESTRICTION REQUEST – A Request to remove parking restriction on 8th Avenue east of north Main Street (current conditions: Angle parking, both sides, from South Main Street ease a distance of 600 feet, 2-hour parking, north side, from south Main Street to 60 feet east between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, loading zone, south side, from 106 feet east of south Main Street to 181 feet east of south Main Street). (This is a staff request) TPAB AGENDA ITEMS 2 January 12, 2020 The businesses in this area were demo’ d leaving vacant lots therefore; these parking restrictions are no longer needed. I RECOMMEND APPROVAL. STAFF STATEMENTS 3. JACKSON STREET SAFETY AND QUALITY OF LIFE STUDY - The Oshkosh city council approved Plan 2a (a full road resign with speed feedback signs between Church Avenue and Murdock Avenue). Curb bump outs will be deferred to a future year to allow time to evaluate if they are needed, as well as budget properly for them. Staff also is avoiding any construction on Jackson Street in 2022 when Algoma Blvd. is scheduled for reconstruction. Staff will be ordering speed back signs and scheduling them for installation next year when weather conditions allow (late spring/early summer). Staff will also be putting together a bid for paint removal and striping to be completed next year during the street painting season (most likely summer completion). FUTURE AGENDA REQUESTS ADJOURNMENT
