OLD BUSINESS
NEW BUSINESS
1. NEW BOARD MEMEBER
2. RIDERSHIP UPDATE – Ridership remains low during the pandemic on both
fixed route and paratransit services. After hours paratransit service was low before the
pandemic and remains low at present time.
3. PRESENTATION OF SHORT-TERM & LONG-TERM PLANS FOR
DOWNTOWN TRANSIT CENTER – As the board is aware, we received a little over $4
million in Cares Act funds. So far we have used the funds for driver/passenger barriers,
and proactive air purification systems. Future projects include new buses in 2022 and a
renovation of the downtown transit center. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and
subsequent Cares Act funds, Go Transit had worked with the East Central Wisconsin
Regional Plan Commission on a grant for a downtown transit center site selection and
feasibility study. The original intent was to evaluate alternatives and select a preferred
site, conduct public and private outreach, and identify funding options for a new
downtown transit center in the future. This study would then set us up to apply for
future grants. The original scope of the study remains; however, we asked the consultant
to also prepare a short-term plan that could be implemented relatively quickly to take
advantage of available Cares Act funds. SRF Consulting will be presenting the plan,
receiving input and answering questions.
