I emailed John F. Wick, founder of Wick Buildings Inc. in Mazomanie, Wisconsin, to update him on Shirley's question about the windows on the front of the house and the 1959 photo I received from David Graf. As I mentioned in the papers I sent with my application, John has been somewhat of a research partner of mine since his daughter-in-law, Ann Wick, put me into contact with him in 2016. Although he is 94 years old, John is still mentally sharp and has a lifetime of knowledge about construction. Here is some information about John and Wick Buildings Inc. from the company's website: Wick Buildings is a privately held Wisconsin company founded in 1954 by John F. Wick. John Wick is a Wisconsin native and graduate of the University of Wisconsin —Madison, with a background in agriculture and advanced schooling in business and engineering. In the early days, the post -frame buildings were used mainly on farms in the Midwest. John worked with local farmers to design buildings that improved farm productivity and animal health. As Wick's capabilities — and reputation — for quality, service and innovative designs grew, uses for our buildings expanded beyond agriculture. In 2013 Wick became employee -owned John sent me his opinion on the double and triple windows on the front (Porter Ave.) side of the house: "This north side view with the double window on the left and the triple living room window in the center originally were probably double hung windows like the rest of the house. 1321 Porter — October 271h12020 Information from Jeffrey Behnke Both the center triple and left double could have been double hung doubles, but possibly also a double and a triple with little change in the original appearance. The west end tall single is quite narrow like the north double & triple." I just wanted to pass along John's thoughts to the commissioners. Thank you for your time and I hope you have a good day. -Jeffrey Behnke
