Call to Order Ms. Redlin called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. 2. Approval of May 21st 2020 Meeting Minutes Ms. Naudziunas explained the published agenda was incorrect in listing the August 271h 2020 meeting minutes. There was no quorum for the august meeting and the committee still needs to approve the May meeting minutes. Ms. Christianson made a motion to approve the May 21st 2020 meeting minutes and Mr. Marquardt seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 3. William Waters Plaza-New Art Installation-Discussion Ms. Naudziunas explained that the city received a donation of$20k to be used to commission a new art piece honoring William Waters that will be located in William Waters Plaza. The money was allocated by the Library Advisory Board from the Hicks Fund. There are no known photos of him, so we will not be pursuing a bust or physical depiction of Waters. The goal will be to allow the artists to submit proposals based on the information and qualifications we release. This will be an on-going project that this committee will weigh in on. 4. Chief Oshkosh Monument-Discussion/Actions Ms. Naudziunas explained that there is a long term project working on adding new signage to the Chief Oshkosh Monument site. This project has been in the works for about 5 years or longer and has not been completed. The current language on the site has been a source of discussion in light of the current civil rights movement occurring around the world. This item has been brought to the committee to see if they would like to weigh in on the current signage in anyway. The committee requested more information on the on-going project to add more signage to the site. 5. Future Agenda Items Ms. Naudziunas explained that any additional agenda items can be added to the list if she is contacted. 6. Adjournment Mr. Mugerauer made a motion to adjourn and Mr. Ponzer seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously at 4:48 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Alexa Naudziunas Associate Planner
