RE: Downtown Business Improvement District—Jazz in the Square 2020
The Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) has submitted a Special Event Permit
applications for a Jazz in the Square series that would include six (6) outdoor live music events
hosted at Opera House Square on Wednesday evenings in September.
The Special Events Review Committee (SERC), which includes a representative of the
Winnebago County Health Department, has reviewed the application and are comfortable
with the measures agreed upon by the BID, to ensure the safety of the public at the event.
These measures include individuals bringing their own chairs or blankets to utilize and to
spread out throughout the square. No food or beverages will be available for sale, social
distancing and masks will be encouraged if individuals are not from within the same
household and are unable to socially distance themselves.
