PURPOSE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO THE DIVERSITY, EQUITY
AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE
INITIATED BY: MAYOR LORI PALMERI
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the
appointment to the various boards are made by Mayor Lori Palmeri, as attached hereto,

Business Administration. I have had great success both
personally and professionally in Oshkosh by fostering
collaborations and relationships that produce positive
results. I love this City and am grateful for the ways I have
been embraced by this community. But there is still much
work to be done in fostering a more inclusive and equitable
environment for Oshkosh's growing population of
culturally diverse individuals and families. I believe the
creation of this committee has the opportunity of being on
the forefront of some incredible but needed innovative

can reduce that number by 50% over the next five years
and save $886 million dollars. We do that by showing how
its done in our cities. We remove the problem of poverty
and change will happen. So ensure that people can get into
positions where they are contributing to the function of
society will help with that problem. How we do justice in
this state needs to change and we need to invest in our
people and communities do too. I also want to work
towards ensuring that our schools and city government are
giving fair opportunities to people of color and sexual
minorities and promoting self reliance and unity among all
people.
