GENERAL INFORMATION
Applicant: City of Oshkosh Department of Public Works
Owner: DFR Enterprises, L.L.C.
Actions Requested:
The City of Oshkosh is requesting acceptance of an easement to allow placement of an ADA
compliant sidewalk, street pavement, curb and underground conduit and wires in the
northwest corner of 3680 N. Main Street.
Applicable Ordinance Provisions:

Property Location and Background Information:
The subject site is located at the southwest edge of the parcel along W. Snell Road. The
proposed easement is a small triangle -shaped area, 18.50' x 17.00' x 25.24' and 157.24 square feet
in size, located at the northwest corner of the property.
ANALYSIS
The City is reconstructing Snell Avenue and as part of that reconstruction, installing an ADA
compliant public concrete sidewalk, street pavement, curb, and underground conduit and wires
in this location. The City may in the future install facilities such as traffic signals, an electric
pull box, and related equipment and facilities. This easement satisfies the needs for this parcel.
The City will have continued rights to access the easement area to maintain the facilities. The
City has been working with the property owner and the owner has agreed to grant the
easement.
The City Attorney's office has drafted the necessary easement documents. The Department of
Public Works does not have concerns with the proposal and will work with the property
owners to have the appropriate easement documents signed and recorded at the Winnebago
County Register of Deeds upon Common Council approval.
RECOMMENDATION/CONDITIONS
Staff recommends approval of the acceptance of the proposed street, sidewalk, electric easement
as proposed.
