1. COVID-19 EMERGENCY RESPONSE FUND UPDATE: April, 2020. The Greater Oshkosh
Economic Development Corporation (GOEDC) has provided a monthly summary of the activity for
the newly established COVID-19 loan fund. The loan funds are for businesses in Oshkosh with a
minimum request of $1,000 and a maximum of $10,000. GOEDC’s April 2020 summary is attached.
GOEDC contributed the initial $50,000 to the COVID-19 Fund. The Oshkosh City Council made an
additional contribution of $250,000 from the City’s Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund.
An additional $750,000 was added to the COVID-19 fund from three Tax Increment Finance Districts,
with the approval of the City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, the Oshkosh Area School District, and
Fox Valley Technical College. Please contact Community Development Director Allen Davis with
any questions.
2. SANITATION DIVISION SEES SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN USAGE IN 2020: The Sanitation
Division of the Department of Public Works has seen significant increases in utilization early in 2020.
Garbage and Recycling collection tonnage are both up over 20% in April of 2020 as compared to 2017
– 2019. The Yard Waste Drop-off site on West 3rd Avenue has seen over a 65% increase in utilization
in April of 2020 as compared to 2017 – 2019. March numbers are not available for the Yard Waste
Drop-off Site, as the location is not staffed until April 1st each year.

6. UPCOMING MEETINGS: On Monday at 8:30 AM I will be on WOSH radio doing my monthly
interview with Bob Burnell. At 10:00 AM on Tuesday I will be participating in the WCMA Region 3
virtual meeting. On Wednesday at 7:30 AM I will be meeting virtually with the GO EDC Board of
Directors. At 1:30 PM I will be participating in the Moody’s Rating conference call regarding our
upcoming debt issue. On Thursday at 9:30 AM I am attending (virtually) the Annual LWMMI Board
meeting. On Friday I will taking a day of vacation and will be out of the office. If you have any
