PURPOSE: APPROVE SPECIAL EVENT / EXPANSION THEORY
PRODUCTIONS LLC / UTILIZE OPERA HOUSE SQUARE,
PEABODY'S ALE HOUSE & TWISTED ROOTS PARKING LOTS
FOR THE OSHKOSH MAIN STREET MUSIC FESTIVAL /JULY
22, 24 & 25, 2020
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that approval is granted to Expansion Theory Productions LLC (Ben Vosters) to
utilize Opera House Square on Wednesday, July 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and
Peabody's Ale House & Twisted Roots parking lots on Friday, July 24 from 9:00 a.m. to
11:00 p.m.; and Saturday,July 25 from 2:00 p.m.—11:00 p.m. (including July 22 and July 26
for set up and clean up) for the Oshkosh Main Street Music Festival event in accordance
with the municipal code and the attached application, with the following
exceptions/conditions:
A. Oshkosh Main Street Music Festival will not play outside music in the side-yard
parking lots of Peabody's Ale House and/or Twisted Roots until after the
Oshkosh Farmer's Market is completed for the day(2:00 p.m.) on Saturday,July
25, 2020.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer
shall pay the City's actual costs for extraordinary services. Approval of this request shall not
be interpreted as approval to conduct the event during any period of emergency order or
declaration prohibiting such event. Approval of this event shall not be interpreted to
supersede any emergency order or declaration applicable to such event and all events shall
remain subject to all applicable ordinances, orders, declarations and requirements for public
gatherings.
