Dear Mr Brown:
A reinspection of 850 Wisconsin Street was made by the Building Inspector today. The
inspection was made to assure Code compliant steps and handrails had been installed as ordered
July 6, 1995.
The Building Inspector informed me that the front steps have been corrected and meet Code.
However nothing has been done to correct the rear steps and bring them into Code.

Another inspection will be made on October 14, 1995 to assure compliance. �

Dear Mr Brown:
A reinspection was made today at 850 Wisconsin Street to assure the all of the violations
noted July 6, 1995 were corrected. The inspection revealed that none of the violations were
corrected and still exist on the rental property. There also has been no permit obtained for the
reconstruction of the newer steps.
Therefore a FINAL INSPECTION will be made on September 22, 1995 to assure
compliance. Failure to comply at this time will result in citations being requested and court
action pursued for each uncorrected violation.

The rental or occupancy of this dwelling violates Section 16-35A (6) which states "No
owner shall rent to any other person for occupancy or allow any person to
occupy any dwelling unit or premises unless it is safe and clean and complies
with all provisions of the Minimum Housing Code and Section 18-79.1 of the
Property MaintenanCe Code." Failure to comply will also result in a citation being
issued for violation of this section of the Code.

1 16-37A (1) The owner of every dwelling shall be responsible for maintaining in a safe, clean and
! good condition all communal, shared or public areas of the dwelling and appurtenant
premises. Yards shall be maintained by the owner according to the provisions of
Section 18-69A and 18-79.1 B of the Oshkosh Property Maintenance Code.
2 16-35A (6) No owner shall rent to any other person for occupancy or allow any person to occupy
any dwelling unit or premises unless it is safe and clean and complies with all
provisions of the Minimum Housing Code and Section 18-79.1 of the Property
Maintenance Code.
3 18-79.1 B The tree stump in the rear yard shall be removed.
4 7-8 New steps and a rear porch have been installed on the front and rear of the dwelling
� without permits.
5 16-33A(6) (a) The rear entry steps have been replaced without regard for building Codes. Step
risers are not to vary more than 3/16".
�� (b) The front steps requires handrails installed on both sides at a height of 30"-34"
with intermediate rails so that a 6 inch sphere cannot pass through.
(c) The rear porch guardrails to not meet the required height of 36".
6 16-33A (9)a Deadbolt locking devices shall be installed on all living unit doors (not common use

7 16-34A (3) The broken weatherproof cover shall be replaced on the rear exterior electrical

CORRECTION SCHEDULE
Items#1 & #2 are informational at this time. Please note the content and
ramifications of these two Code sections.
Item#4 shall be obtained before July 20, 1995.
Item#3 shall be corrected before August 7, 1995.
Items#5 & #6 shall be corrected before September 7, 1995.
