Brief history review: An initial complaint was received by this office regarding the placement of this shed on September 23, 1996. Correction notices were subsequently sent to Mr. Lewellyn regarding the placement of the shed (see attachments). A citation was issued to Mr. Lewellyn on January 6, 1997 for failure to obtain the required building permit. Mr. Lewellyn obtained the building permit for this shed at 927 N Lark St and agreed to have the shed moved from the vacant lot by May 31, 1997. He failed to appear in court for his April 2, 1997 hearing, resulting in a default on the citation. The city reopened the case and dismissed the citation without prejudice based on assurances from Mr. Lewellyn that the shed would be moved by May 31, 1997. As of July 17, 1997 the shed still has not been moved from the parcel. I am requesting a 7citation. Attachments: Orders X , Photos X , Other X . An inspection will be required of the grade beam. If a code compliant grade beam has not been installed, engineering will be required. Summary To obtain the building permit you must submit a flood plain elevation survey and combine the two parcels into one property. Additionally, a variance will have to be obtained because the structure has been placed in violation of the zoning code. DEFICIENCIES MUST BE CORRECTED AND APPROVED BEFORE CONCEALMENT.
