Call to Order Mr. Michelson called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m. 2. Approval of June 20,2019 Meeting Minutes Mr. BellCorelli moved to approve June 20, 2019 meeting minutes as amended and Ms. Redlin seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Route Implementation Update Ms. Naudziunas explained that the Traffic and Parking Advisory Board reviewed the Oakwood bike lanes from 9th Avenue to Witzel Avenue at their May 141h, 2019 meeting. The board requested more information from the Town of Algoma and wanted to notify residents on this potential change. The item was laid over until the June meeting. At the June meeting the committee recommended approval of the bike route. She explained that ECWRPC will be working on collecting count information for this route before and after the bike lanes are painted. 4. Capital Improvement Program Funding-Discussion/Action At the June meeting, Mr.Michelson presented his draft letter which will serve as a statement on the wishes of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee regarding certain capital improvement projects and how they are prioritized in the city budget. At the July meeting, the committee decided to go a different direction and passed a motion that will be shared with appropriate departments and elected officials. Mr. Michelson made a motion recommending the section of trail between Melvin Avenue and Nevada Avenue to be evaluated for improvements and funding through the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The motion requests that this item be prioritized in the CIP. Mr. BellCorelli seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously. It was requested by the committee, that this motion be brought to the attention of the Parks Department and Advisory Parks Board. This item should be left on the agenda for further updates. 5. Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update Ms. Naudziunas explained that she is still working on formatting and editing the final document draft. She requested a small working group to review the final maps to be included in the plan. Mr. BellCorelli and Mr. Michelson volunteered to meet at later date to work on this task. 6. Agenda Items for the Future Meeting(s) The committee expressed an interest in continuing to review chapters from the Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan. The committee requests to keep an on-going list of potential agenda items to help keep track of ideas, this list will be found on each agenda. 7. Adjournment Ms. Redlin moved to adjourn the meeting and Ms. Palmeri seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously at 5:17 p.m. Recorded by Alexa Naudziunas, Associate Planner
