All habitable rooms must be provided with 8% light and 3.5%ventilation. Bedrooms � located on the second floor or below ground level must be provided with egress windows � in addition to the light and ventilation requirements. Basement windows are also � ; required to have window well areas in accordance with ILHR 21.03. � � � ; 2. Garage spaces shall be separated from the dwelling unit in accordance with ILHR 21.08. � The door and frame assembly between the dwelling unit and an attached gazage shall be � labeled by an independent testin�agency as having a minimum fire-resistive rating of 20 � minutes. All drywall joints are required to be taped/sealed unless the joints aze fitted so that the gap is no more than a dimes thickness( 1/20-inch)and backed by solid wood or � drywall with the joints staggered. � 3.• All penetrations in exterior wa11s must be sealed prior to the insulation inspection. This i includes holes in the top and bottom plates, gaps around heating ducts, and holes in the return air spaces. 4. Smoke detectors are required on every floor and within 6' of all bedrooms. The smoke detectors are required to be hardwired and interconnected. 5. Hydromassage tubs aze required to have an access panel to motor. T'he access panel must be accessible without removing the finish of the house. 6. All overframing must be designed by the truss manufacturer, according to standards set by the truss plate institute, or structural calculations must be provided prior to the rough �: building inspection. � � 7. Truss plans must be submitted and approved prior to framing the roof. � 8. Truss plans including the truss layout must be provided on site at the rough building � inspection. In addition to the truss plans,microlam calculations must be provided on site � at the rough building inspection for all microlams with point loads on them. � ! � 9.
