HomeMy WebLinkAbout08. 19-475 AUGUST 27, 2019 19-475 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 7-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO 2019 CIP BUDGET FOR MENOMINEE PARK - LITTLE OSHKOSH REPLACEMENT PROJECT $35,000.00 INITIATED BY: PARKS DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Common Council has adopted the 2019 CIP Budget, which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk and available for public inspection; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the 2019 CIP Budget to add donated funds supporting the Menominee Park—Little Oshkosh Replacement Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the 2019 CIP Budget, on file in the City Clerk's Office, is hereby amended with adjustments as listed in attached Exhibit #7. 2019 Capital Improvement Program Budget Amendment, Exhibit # 7 Agenda Date: 08-27-19 Account Description: Parks Improvement— Menominee Park Little Oshkosh Replacement Project Account#: 0325-0610-7204-62901 Explanation: Donation from Oshkosh Area Community Foundation for Machinery & Equipment Dollar Amount: $ 35,000.00 City of Oshkosh TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Common Council FROM: Ray Maurer, Parks Director DATE: August 22, 2019 RE: Approve Amendment to 2019 CIP Budget for Menominee Park - Little Oshkosh Replacement Project$35,000 BACKGROUND In November 2018 the Common Council adopted the 2019 budgets. At that time, donation amounts for assisting with the replacement of Little Oshkosh were unknown. On July 23, 2019 the Common Council approved the purchase and installation of the replacement play equipment. ANALYSIS The Parks Department recently received a $35,000 donation from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation to be used for the Little Oshkosh replacement project. These funds will be used for costs associated with the project including purchasing benches and other site amenities. The donation is not currently reflected in the 2019 CIP Budget. Project expenses will be paid from this account. FISCAL IMPACT The total fiscal impact of this budget amendment is $35,000.00. The amendment will authorize this funding for the Little Oshkosh replacement project to A/N#: 0325-0610-7204-62901. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that Council approve this resolution.
