North Park Our staff and volunteers work closely with resident leaders to: ✓ Sponsor community building events where residents can meet,have fun,and build trust and social NorthShore capital in the neighborhood. River East ✓ Sponsor special resident-led projects to improve physical conditions in the neighborhood. ✓ Provide technical assistance,tools,and resources to existing and emerging neighborhood associations- Sacred Heart ✓ Develop resident leadership education curriculum and sponsor workshops to expand the leadership skills in our partner neighborhoods. ✓ Partner with residents,neighborhood groups,and community institutions to identify and implement Stevens Park special neighborhood initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods- Woodland P 0 S H K 0 S H HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOODS 2019 Community Impact 2019 Mid-year report 11 Neighborhood Associations Supported ✓ Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods hired a part-time Neighborhood Coordinator in April,2019-This position is responsible for timely correspondence and managing the CB&E fund.The monthly meetings of the Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhood Alliance will be coordinated through this Awl position and provides for greater attention to each Neighborhood Association. 38 Community Building Events Held ✓ Menominee North Neighborhood Association is the newest Recognized Neighborhood Association;there are now 17 recognized neighborhood associations. 3176 Volunteer Hours Contributed, ✓ Implemented the first ever Rock The Block Oshkosh.The Sacred Heart Neighborhood Valued at$80,753 Association came together with more than 130 volunteers working on various projects at 23 households and Stoegbauer Park.June 28,2019 a crew of volunteers worked to finish projects Resident leaders from two Neighborhood that were not able to be completed in April due to weather conditions. Associations participated in training ✓ Website updates have been made with a new Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods logo.The organization is still officially named Greater Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods Inc.. ✓ Local Media occurrences: First ever Rock The Block Oshkosh Oshkosh Herald ran a section the Rock The Block event emphasizingthe collaboration between implemented April 25-27 Habitat,Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods and the City of Oshkosh.Also printed the ffiwa announcement of Congress Field being chosen for Rock the Block Oshkosh 2020. ✓ Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods continues to grow its reach on social media with a very interactive Facebook account and a newly formed Twitter and Instagram accounts. Nabilal ✓ GO-HNI helped lead the Neighborhood partners Education series with three sessions in February, March and April ✓ Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods coordinating three community events forthe summer of 2019: 7/16/19 Neighborhood Night at the Leach;8/6/19 National/Neighborhood Night Out;and 9/28/19 National Good Neighbor Day
