No. 0315-0410-7480-00000 Street Improvement Fund Expenditures 0321-0410-6801-04922 Contract Control Fund - Paving 0321-0410-6802-04922 Contract Control Fund - Sanitary Sewer City of W Oshkosh MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the Common Council FROM: Justin Gierach, Engineering Division Manager/City Engineer DATE: August 8, 2019 RE: Award Bid for Public Works Contract No. 19-22 Oshkosh Avenue/North Koeller Roundabout Modifications Vinton Construction Company/($198,864.01) BACKGROUND The purpose of this project is to install a dedicated right-turn lane from southbound North Koeller Street onto westbound Oshkosh Avenue, as well as sidewalk along the new dedicated right-of- way of North Koeller Street. As a part of all of the development within the area and the agreement with Oshkosh Corporation for the construction of the Oshkosh Corporation World Headquarters, a Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) was completed in 2018. This analysis recommended adding a dedicated right-turn lane from North Koeller Street onto Oshkosh Avenue, due to the traffic volumes leaving the area. ANALYSIS Engineering staff reviewed one(1)bid. The bid was received from Vinton Construction Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The total bid is$198,864.01. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the project is in the 2018 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Following is a summary of the available funds and the estimated total construction cost, including ancillary costs such as engineering fees, landfill tipping fees, construction materials testing fees, and other construction-related expenses.
