If this is your first time using this site you will need to create a "New Account" prior to creating a permit. (Click on "NEW ACCOUNT" at the top of this page then proceed to Permit Application).

Burn Permits are not instantly approved and any permit applications submitted on the weekend will be processed the following week. Please only submit your recreational burn permit application request once.

Use Permit Application to apply for annual recreational burn permits. Outdoor fires are prohibited in the City of Oshkosh without a recreational fire permit. A recreational fire permit is required before any burning. Outdoor cooking is allowed without a permit using approved devices such as grills and smokers. Permits shall be available to the City Fire Department personnel upon request. If the permit is not available, the fire will be extinguished immediately.
