The Oshkosh Public Museum is bringing a dazzling, historically significant jewelry exhibition to the community with Chicago Collects: Jewelry in Perspective. The exhibition features 200 exceptional pieces from Chicago museums and private collectors, including works connected to Fabergé, Lalique, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and major design movements from the 19th century through today. The exhibition is organized by Richard H. Driehaus Museum and guest-curated by Elyse Zorn Karlin.
The Museum s Chief Curator and Assistant Director, Emily Rock shares: The exhibition offers both beauty and historical context. Visitors will see sparkling gemstones, fine metalwork, colorful enamel, and decorative art objects while learning how jewelry reflects broader artistic movements, cultural trends, and design history.”
The exhibition is accessible to both jewelry enthusiasts and general visitors. Guests do not need specialized knowledge to enjoy the show; the exhibition is designed to be visually stunning while also educational.
